Welcome to the Corrosion Training Campus!
The goal of this page is to show you the many interesting parts
of this site so you can get the most out of this site each time
you visit.

required to learn about corrosion control!
User System Requirements.
The purpose of the Corrosion Training Campus site is to provide
corrosion training to officers, the enlisted and the civilian workforce
regarding corrosion prevention, maintenance, detection and removal.
The site is organized to accommodate the variety of users who
will need corrosion training. In addition to the Information/Help Center,
there are 4 areas for users to visit:
Media Center
Motor Pool
Hangar
Engineering Center
Each of these areas provides different information regarding corrosion
prevention and control to a specified user.
If you are first time visitor and have limited knowledge of
corrosion, the Media Center is the place to start. In the Media
Center, take the Basic Corrosion Control course to increase your
knowledge of corrosion and understand the US Army's concern regarding
the prevention and control of corrosion. Learn the definition
of corrosion, the chemical elements in the corrosion process,
the different types of corrosion, how the environment influences
corrosion, and the corrosion of different engineering materials.
The Media Center houses links to a Glossary
of corrosion-related terms, Corrosion
Directives, Joint Test Protocols, Technical
Manuals and answers to Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs).
Visit the Motor Pool to learn corrosion
control techniques for Army ground vehicles. It provides quick
reference to a variety of maintenance techniques.
The Hangar will provide you with corrosion control techniques for
Army helicopters.
Finally, if you are designing and building equipment for the US Army,
enter the Engineering Center. The center houses information
on design including optimizing design utilizing specific materials
and matching materials to environments.
